How to Earn XP1

These badges are part of the great postbox hunt! They are earned when you are the first piXPost user to pin an eligible postbox on the map.

XP1 = First Explorer bonus for being the first to put that postbox on the map

Pins must be published on the public piXPost map. Pins that do not qualify for the public map, or pins marked private, will still appear on your profile and personal map but will not count towards these badges.

To Claim XP1:

🔹 Your pin must be the first pin at that location

🔹 Once your pin appears on the map, an XP1 Postbox pin will appear dark red.

🔹 Additional Postbox pins at an existing XP1 location will appear light red on the map and are still welcomed and encouraged, for they could count towards other badges.

🔹 Your pin type must be selected as a postbox or multi-selected with a postbox pin type included.

🔹 XP1 can only be claimed once per eligible active postbox location. *Please review what counts as a postbox

🔹 Genuine historical, retired, preserved, or museum postboxes can still be pinned and enjoyed on the map, but they do not qualify for a new XP1 (as of Aug. 2026)

🔹 Not every eligible Postbox pin qualifies for XP1. Please review the Postbox guidelines before working towards these badges.
